Class Description

In this six week all-levels handbuilding class, we’ll create ceramic objects celebrating plants, harvest, and the outdoors. Our focus will be on clay objects related to nature, such as planters and vases, harvest platters, and fruit or animal sculptures. Jess will show you all their tips and tricks on pinching, coiling, and slab building with suggested projects each week. Projects will be tailored to your skill level, with both basic and more challenging options available for you to try. By the end of class, each student should have more confidence in the ceramic process and go home with several finished pieces. This is a great class for beginners or students looking to expand their handbuilding skills.

This class is limited to eight students, ensuring that each participant gets ample individualized attention. No experience required.

What to Expect

All clay, glazes, and firing will be provided. This class also includes Open Studio at RECC. Pieces will be glaze fired after the conclusion of the class, and an email will be sent out to arrange pickup (this may take 3-5 weeks).

Students will receive an email the week prior to the workshop with access instructions. Full refunds are available up to one week before the workshop.
